- You know that feeling when you've set your computer to dark mode and you open an app
that's using light mode? It's like staring at the sun. Thankfully, you can now tell Web Clipper to
use your system-wide preference instead of having to set it manually. Your eyes will thank you.
Fixed
- If you clipped an article from The Wall Street Journal in Simplified Article mode, the page
header and any ads would sometimes come along for the ride. Since that's probably what you
were hoping to avoid, we fixed it.
- If you selected Simplified Article mode, clicked on a link, then switched to another clipping
mode, the result was, well, not good. You should be able to change your mind whenever you
want, though, so we fixed it.
- Web Clipper occasionally had trouble detecting the right content on Pinterest, especially if you
had selected "Article" or "Bookmark" format. But it should be smooth sailing now.
- Web Clipper lets you quickly switch between two Evernote accounts so it's easier to keep your
clips organized. That occasionally led to a problem with viewing clips in Evernote Web, but
everything should be straightened out now.
- If you used Bookmark mode to clip articles from The Guardian and, sometimes, Wikipedia, the
images wouldn't always come along for the ride. But it should be smooth sailing now.
- Sometimes, if you clipped a Wikipedia page then selected 'Simplify & Make Editable' in
Evernote, links on the page would be broken. A very specific wrong that has now been righted.
- If you clipped pages from Nikkei using Web Clipper on Safari, the images wouldn't always
show up. That was less than ideal, but on the bright side, we fixed it.
- We fixed an issue with Web Clipper that was causing it to take a really long time to clip pages
from LinkedIn.
- If you clipped a page from Nikkei in Simplified Article mode, Web Clipper was also including
the page header and any hyperlinks. That defeated the whole purpose of "simplified," so we
fixed it.
